At MedTeam Weight Loss, we practice bariatric medicine and are Members of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. Our group of physicians, certified nurse practitioners and registered dietitians will help you lose weight safely, quickly and without the risk of surgery! If you are overweight or obese and need to lose weight, our medically managed, customized weight loss program will help you achieve your weight goal and maintain it once the weight is lost.
We offer a comprehensive approach that many weight loss "centers" or "clinics" simply can not. Each patient is individually assessed, you will receive a thorough medical exam to evaluate the optimal plan for weight loss. If necessary, our practitioners can prescribe medication they know will benefit you during each stage of your weight loss. Our registered dietitians will work closely with you to help you maintain what you have lost.
Every month, we track weight lost, gained and maintained for each patient. Since 2009 we have successfully treated 986 patients with an overall weight loss of 20,447.5 pounds. A 10% weight loss will reflect a 55% risk reduction in high blood pressure, type II diabetes, elevated cholesterol, heart attack and stroke. For example, a female adult with a starting weight of 200 pounds on average loses between 20-40 pounds on our 12-week diet plan - this results in a 10-20% weight loss.*
Don’t get down on your weight - it’s only a number! At MedTeam we calculate your health status in many different ways. Measuring weight alone is not a completely accurate assessment of health or fitness. At MedTeam, our staff uses a body composition scale, which breaks down total body weight into the various elements that make it up. Our scale is used to distinguish pounds that come from fat and pounds that come from muscle.
